Bruce Williams (Farming Industry Representative)

Bruce has a diversity of interests, skills and experience with ability to understand, develop, implement and manage programs between and within different business and community sectors at Local, State, Federal and International levels.
Bruce has recently been appointed Regional Manager, Northern Tasmania for Housing Industry Association and previously was Executive Officer, University Department of Rural Health, University of Tasmania. Prior to this, Bruce spent time as Chief Executive Officer of the Tasmanian Farmers and Graziers Association [TFGA]; Executive Officer and Company Secretary of the Central Queensland Forest Association; Business Manager of Greening Australia and Director of the Centre for Rainforest Studies, a complex international business, which integrated 24/7 management of a remote self-sustained village of 48 persons on a 62ha property adjacent to World Heritage Area.

Christine has had an ongoing involvement with Rural Youth for over 16 years and won the Australian Rural Youth Study Tour to Switzerland in 1993 She was Tasmanian State President for Rural Youth in 1996 and since that time has held positions as Secretary, Treasurer and Property Management Committee Chair for Rural Youth Christine has also played a very active role in the Agfest Organising Committee for over 13 years holding various positions including Site Manager, Parking Coordinator, Executive Committee, Assistant Site Manager/Security Coordinator, Heritage Coordinator, Assistant Personnel Coordinator etc…..
She was the first registered female surveyor in Tasmania and has been employed as a Contract Surveyor for the past 10 years. Christine holds a Graduate Diploma in Surveying Practice 1994 (Queensland University of Technology), Bachelor of Surveying with Honours 1991 and Bachelor of Surveying (Computer Technology) 1987-1990 (University of Tasmania).
